No. 16 - Song - Daisy and Bathing Girls

MIDI File

Daisy: We are dainty, dimpled darlings, ev'ry one,
Bathing Girls: Ev'ry one.
Daisy: But mamma insists we must not touch the water.
She has brought us to the shore to take the Sun,
Bathing Girls: To take the Sun,
Daisy: But we'd much prefer the son to take the daughter.
We have chaperons about us by the score,
Bathing Girls: By the score,
Daisy: For we must preserve our reputation reckless.
There may be many wrecks along the shore,
Bathing Girls: Along the shore,
Daisy: But we bathing girls are very, very reckless.
We are frivolous, frolicsome bathing girls.
From morning to night we are busy.
You'd better steer clear of our escapades
Unless you expect to get dizzy.
We are fishers of men and we're out for sport.
We always are ogling and angling.
With our charms for a bait we can soon land a skate.
He nibbles, we pull, and he's dangling.
