No. 8a - Chorus of Soldiers

MIDI File

Soldiers: We are a mercenary lot
Of Oriental rangers,
Ready to join in any plot
That's quite devoid of dangers.
Ev'ry trick of the soldier's trade,
To us an old, old story,
We'd rather pose on dress parade
Than die on the field of glory.
Kee-Otori: Be bold and do not hesitate,
He quite deserves his awful fate,
Chorus: He quite deserves his awful fate,
All: His awful fate.
Revenge! Revenge! No pity must we show,
This demon pale we'll put in jail,
And kill with torture slow!
Behold! He comes! He walks into the trap.
His end is near, for soon he'll hear
A rousing thunder-clap.
