No. 8 - Sextet - Peggy, Hélène, Winnie, Sam, Fred & Frank - "Little Bo-Peep."

MIDI File

All: Little Bo-Peep she tended sheep,
And when they went astray,
She never would fret, or get in a pet;
"Leave them alone," she'd say.
The maxim would do for me and you--
Bo-Peep, I'm afraid, was deep;
She's bound to have known
that "leave them alone"
Would apply to more things than sheep.
Bo-Peep, Bo-Peep.
Little Bo-Peep, little Bo-Peep
What did she mean by that
"Leave them alone, and they'll come home,"
What was she driving, driving at?
To a maid and man, her wonderful plan
Would certainly seem to apply;
When little Bo-Peep said "Leave them alone,"
Little Bo-Peep knew why!

  Little Bo-Peep she tended sheep,
And when they lost the track,
Tho' they left in a flock,
It was rather a shock
When in couples they all came back!
It was always a he and a blushing she,
And the story in time grew stale,
For she found one and all,
When they answer'd the call,
They brought with them the same old tale,
the same old tale.
Little Bo-Peep, little Bo-Peep
Learned in love affairs,
Left them alone, and they came home,
Sheepishly home in pairs, in pairs,
She knew that her plan to maid and man
As well as to sheep would apply;
For little Bo-Peep had been left alone,
So little Bo-Peep knew why!
Little Bo-Peep, little Bo-Peep
Learned in love affairs,
Left them alone, and they came home,
Sheepishly home in pairs, in pairs,
She knew that her plan to maid and man
As well as to sheep would apply;
For little Bo-Peep had been left alone,
So little Bo-Peep knew why!
