JEAN ALLISTER
As a fellow native of County Antrim I had to make an effort to get to Miss Allister's recital to the G&S Society on 25th January. She chatted informally about the lives of G&S in a manner which must have been common knowledge to everyone there, when what she said was accurate, which it wasn't always. Her singing was delightful, though I could have wished for a bit more of it ? and fewer of the gramophone records which punctuated the evening.
