Annette Sophie Mercy Laubach appears to have had only a brief engagement with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "D" Company in 1887. The Company toured Patience and The Mikado between September 12 and December 10, 1887. Apparently a contralto chorister and understudy, she went on at least once (Dublin, December 2) as the Lady Jane in Patience. The Company was disbanded a week later.

Miss Laubach likely continued her singing career elsewhere. In 1893 she married a well-known horn player with the Carl Rosa orchestra.
