Rhys Thomas (1943-45, 1945-48)

Tenor Rhys Thomas made his London Stage debut in as Sid el Kar in The Desert Song (Garrick, June-September 1939). He served in the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus from December 1943 to January 1945, and again from September 1945 to July 1948. During the last three seasons (1945-48) he took the small part of First Yeoman in The Yeomen of the Guard, and for the 1945-46 season only was Francesco in The Gondoliers.

He later appeared in London as a busker in the musical play Rainbow Square (Stoll Theatre, 1951-52).
