THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

Harris Trevor (1881-94)

Harris Trevor served in the D'Oyly Carte chorus for most, if not all, of the productions at Opera Comique and Savoy between Patience (April 1881) and The Vicar of Bray (June 1892). He eventually transferred to D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "B" on tour, again as a chorister but also taking the small named part of Major Domo in Haddon Hall, which played from November 1892 to February 1894.

It's uncertain precisely when he left the D'Oyly Carte organization:either in 1894 or 1895. He later made his only appearance in a London program:as a chorister in the comic opera The Bric-a-Brac Will (Lyric, October-December 1895).
