DINAH SHERIDAN
as Grace Marston

Dinah Sheridan

Dinah Sheridan, whose performance in Where No Vultures Fly, established her among Britain's brightest stars, was born in Hampstead Garden Suburb on 18th September, 1920. Dinah was educated at Sherrardswood, Welwyn Garden City. Her children, six-year-old Jeremy James and four-year-old Jennifer Jane, are at the same school.

Dinah always wanted to become an actress. When she was eleven a visit to Where The Rainbow Ends inspired her with such a longing to train for the stage that she persuaded her parents to let her study at the Italia Conti School of Dancing and Elocution. Within a year she was understudying the lead in Where the Rainbow Ends. She was only fourteen when she faced the film cameras for the first time — as a milliner in I Give my Heart at Elstree. She had played unspectacular roles in some twenty films before she really hit the headlines in Where No Vultures Fly, a success she soundly merited. Following important roles in "The Sound Barrier" and "Appointment in London", she now plays the part of Sullivan's fiancee in the film Gilbert and Sullivan.
