Produced at the Savoy
Theatre, London, under the Management of C. H. Workman
on 15th December, 1909 for a run of 50 performances,
this two-act fairy opera is a musical version
of Gilbert's earlier play The
Wicked World. This was Gilbert's last
opera; and German would never write for the
stage again.
