| Is this not he whom they seek to kill, | ||
| and lo! he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him, and they say nothing unto him? |

| We know this man, whence he is, But when Christ cometh no man knoweth whence he is. |

| Shall Christ come out of Galilee? Christ cometh of the seed of David, |

| Are you also deceived? Have any rulers or the Pharisees believed him? This people who knoweth not the law is cursed. |

| Doth our law judge any man before it hear him | ||
| and know what he doeth? | ||
| Refrain from this man and let him alone, | ||
| for if this counsel or work be of men it shall come to naught, but if it be of God ye cannot overthrow it, lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. |
