THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY
Percy Burbank (1880-91)
Percy Burbank appears to have been a member of D'Oyly Carte's London chorus at the Opera Comique and Savoy at least from 1881 to 1891. His only named parts were the tiny roles of Sir Conrad Murgatroyd in the first production of Ruddygore at the Savoy in 1887 and Annibale in the later stages of the first run of The Gondoliers (July 1890 to June 1891). Prior to his London engagement Burbank was on tour in the chorus of D'Oyly Carte's 2nd "Pinafore" Company in 1880.
