Ruby Clayton toured with D'Oyly Carte Repertoire Opera Company "C" from January 1903 to January 1904.A chorister, her only named part was Ada in Princess Ida.She rejoined the D'Oyly Carte for at least a portion of the December 1905-July 1906 South Africa tour, appearing in Johannesburg as Chloe in Princess Ida and Giulia in The Gondoliers.
