Mary "Marie" Conron filled in for ailing Blanche Roosevelt as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with D'Oyly Carte's First American Pirates Company at the Fifth Avenue Theatre, New York, in February 1880, then toured North America as Mabel with Carte's Fourth American Pirates Company from February to June 1880. It was her only engagement with the D'Oyly Carte organization.
She would appear sporadically on the New York Stage in light opera and in concert until 1885. Her roles included Josephine in a James C. Duff revival of H.M.S. Pinafore (Standard Theatre, March 1883). She died of Bright's disease at the age of twenty-six.
