Hollis Coote (1909-12)

Tenor Hollis Coote appeared with the D'Oyly Carte Principal Repertory Opera Company from January 1909 to May 1912. A chorister and understudy, he appeared regularly as Francesco in The Gondoliers from July 1909 onwards. Coote filled in on occasion as Leonard Meryll in The Yeomen of the Guard (January 1909), and Marco (March 1910) and Luiz (1910-11) in Gondoliers. He also appeared for a time in 1911 as First Citizen in Yeomen.
