THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

(Mr.) T. Cuthbert (1879-80)

Mr. Cuthbert appeared as Bob Beckett at New York's Fifth Avenue Theatre in America's first authentic D'Oyly Carte H.M.S. Pinafore, December 1, 1879.On December 31 of that year, in the same theatre, the Company gave The Pirates of Penzance with Cuthbert presumably in the chorus.

In September 1880 he played Daniel Deadlight in a revival of Alfred Cellier's The Sultan of Mocha, produced by Blanche Roosevelt's Company at the Union Square Theatre, New York.
