Michael Gilsenan was known as Michael Cole when he joined the D'Oyly Carte Repertory Opera Company chorus in February 1921. As Michael Gilsenan he was one of several singers to appear as Luiz in The Gondoliers during the time he served with the Company. His tour of duty ended in July 1922.
