Enid James (1937)
Enid James appeared at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in Prince Igor (June 1935), Koanga, Der Freischutz (both September-October 1935), and Louise (May-June 1936).
In June 1937 she gave two trial performances with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company as Elsie Maynard in The Yeomen of the Guard at Sadler's Wells Theatre, as a potential successor to Sylvia Cecil. She was not given a contract.
