A. A. Johnston was a chorister and understudy with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "D" (also known as the "Savoy Touring Company"), presenting The Emerald Isle on tour from September 1901 to May 1902.He deputized as the Earl of Newtown in The Emerald Isle in April 1902.
