Nellie Kavanagh (1884-92)

Nellie Kavanagh appeared in the D'Oyly Carte chorus (and took the occasional small part) at the Savoy between 1884, when she was a bridesmaid in the revival of Trial by Jury, and 1892, when she created the small part of Gertrude in The Vicar of Bray (January-June 1892). Her other named parts were Kate in The Pirates of Penzance (March-June 1888) and Inez in The Gondoliers (April-June 1891).
She later toured with George Edwardes's Company in The Arcadians. Her sister, Kate Kavanagh toured for many years with several D'Oyly Carte companies.
