THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

Evelyne Lawson (1892)

Soprano Evelyne Lawson toured with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "B" from January to December 1892. Her roles were Kate in The Yeomen of the Guard, Casilda in The Gondoliers, and Banyan in The Nautch Girl. Gondoliers and The Nautch Girl were replaced in the repertoire with Haddon Hall and The Vicar of Bray in July. It is not known whether Miss Lawson had a small role in either or both of those works.
