Josephine Lesage (1891-95)

Josephine Marie Lesage toured with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "C," a repertory company, for the five years spanning January 1891 and December 1895. A chorister, her one regular named part was Leila in Iolanthe, which she played throughout her tenure. She also filled in as Inez in The Gondoliers on one occasion in May 1893.

During her tour with the D'Oyly Carte she married tenor chorister Harry G. Tebbutt. The marriage ended in divorce in 1904.
