Edward Lyster (1880-85)

Edward Kelly Lyster was a baritone chorister with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company at the Opera Comique and Savoy Theatres from at least 1880 to 1885. He filled in on occasion as Samuel in The Pirates of Penzance (September 1880) and Major Murgatroyd in Patience (July 1882), was a juryman for the 1884 revival of Trial by Jury with The Sorcerer, and was in the chorus of The Mikado when it opened in March 1885, though he appears to have left at some point during the run.
He died a pauper at the Hanwell lunatic asylum 1n 1895.
