R. Scrope Quentin in The London Missionary Pageant

R. Scrope Quentin (1902)

[Born Hornsey, Haringey, London 1873]

Baritone Reginald Alfred Scrope Quentin appeared on tour in Great Britain with D'Oyly Carte Repertoire Opera Company "C" from March to August 1902 as the Earl of Mountararat in Iolanthe, Arac in Princess Ida, the Mikado of Japan in The Mikado, Sergeant Meryll in The Yeomen of the Guard, and Giuseppe in The Gondoliers. It was his only engagement with the D'Oyly Carte organization. He was married to D'Oyly Carte chorister Julia Willis.

Quentin later appeared in something called "The London Missionary Pageant" (c.1907). In 1910 he performed at His Majesty's Theatre, London, in Shamus O'Brien, Die Fledermaus, and The Impresario.
