David Rayson (1965-72)

After training at the Guildhall School of Music, David John Rayson joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in July 1965. He appeared for a time as First Citizen in The Yeomen of the Guard (1966-68, and on occasion between 1968 and 1970) and the Associate in Trial by Jury (1967-69). Rayson was in the chorus for the Company's 1966 film of The Mikado. He remained with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company until June 1972.
After leaving the D'Oyly Carte, Rayson worked for a time in the insurance business, returning to his native Jersey in the 1980s, where he later ran a guest house.
