Bella Richmond (1877-78)

Bella Richmond was presumably a chorister and understudy with the Comedy Opera Company Ltd. under D'Oyly Carte management at the Opera Comique for at least a portion of the first run of The Sorcerer (November 1877-May 1878). All we know for certain is that she filled in for Giulia Warwick as Constance January 19-23, 1878, while Miss Warwick was deputizing for Alice May as Aline. When Miss May left the cast at the end of the month, however, and Giulia Warwick was promoted, Lisa Walton took over as Constance.
