Before joining the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company in 1932, Rowena Edith Ronald had appeared on the London Stage in two comedies: as a Lady-in-Waiting in Little Catherine (Phoenix Theatre, November-December 1931), and as a Servant in See Naples and Die (Little Theatre, March-June 1932).
Her D'Oyly Carte career was a brief one, from August to December 1932. She appeared regularly as Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Phyllis in Iolanthe, and Casilda in The Gondoliers, and also filled in on occasion for Muriel Dickson as Princess Ida in Princess Ida.
Her only subsequent appearances in London were in the pantomime Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp (Prince Edward, 1934-35) and the comedy Chicken Every Day (Savoy, 1945).
