Abigail Ryan (1966-68)

Soprano Abigail Ryan joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in August 1966. That year she appeared in the Company's film of The Mikado, and in July 1967 appeared as Ada in a brief revival of Princess Ida. During the next season (September 1967-July 1968) she filled in on occasion as Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance. In November 1967, when Princess Ida was restored to the repertoire, Miss Ryan took the part of Sacharissa. She left the Company in July 1968.
