Jacqueline Veazey (1970-72)

[Born Blackpool, Lancashire]

Contralto Jacqueline Veazey won several trophies in musical festivals before joining the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in September 1970. She served in the chorus for two years, going on on occasion as Inez in The Gondoliers during the 1971-72 season. She also understudied Mrs. Partlett in The Sorcerer before leaving the D'Oyly Carte in August 1972.
