Ethel Annie Wade appeared on tour as a chorister with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "D" in The Rose of Persia from April to December 1900. She then transferred to D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "C," taking the role of "Song-of-Nightingale" in the same opera from December 1900 to December 1901. She later participated as a chorister in the D'Oyly Carte's April 1902-May 1903, appearing at times as Tessa and Giulia in The Gondoliers.
