Charles Leslie Walker appeared as Calynx with D'Oyly Carte's American Utopia Limited Company in New York and Boston from March to June 1894. It was his only role with the D'Oyly Carte organization.

In 1902 Walker sang grand opera at Covent Garden:appearing that year as Zuniga in Carmen, Reinmar in Tannhäuser, and Fafner in Siegfried.
