Evelyn Ward (1884-87)

Soprano Evelyn Alice Ward took over the title role in Princess Ida from Florence Dysart on tour with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "A" Company in September 1884. She added Aline in The Sorcerer when that opera was added to the tour in January 1885, but left the cast in March of that year.

She married D'Oyly Carte chorister Hamilton Tetley in 1887, and joined him in the chorus of Carte's First American Ruddygore Company later that year. She left the Company and Tetley shortly thereafter.
