Hilary Western (1970-71)

Soprano Hilary Western trained at the Royal Academy of Music. She joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in September 1970, serving for just a year, and left the Company in August 1971.
She later appeared as Kate in the 1978 City of London Festival production of The Yeomen of the Guard, starring Tommy Steele, and may be seen in the resultant videocassette recording. Miss Western was in the chorus of Chess (London's Prince Edward Theatre, 1986-89) and has more recently participated in studio recordings of musicals On the Town (1993), Calamity Jane (1995), Annie Get Your Gun (1995), A Little Night Music (1996), and Guys and Dolls (2001).
She is also currently involved with the National Rural Touring Forum promoting the performing arts in Mid Bedfordshire.
