THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY

Lois White (1907-09)

Lois White was a contralto chorister with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company at the Savoy for the last few months of the First London Repertory Season (May-August 1907) and the first months of the Second (April 1908-January 1909). It seems likely, though unproven, that she was with the D'Oyly Carte organization on tour for the intervening period. In January 1909 she joined the touring D'Oyly Carte Principal Repertory Opera Company, but it's unclear for how long.
