Sam Wilkinson (1891)
Comedian Sam Wilkinson had one role with the D'Oyly Carte organization, touring as Pyjama in George Dance & Edward Solomon's The Nautch Girl with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "D" from August to October 1891.
He had earlier appeared in London as Antonio in W. S. Gilbert's English adaptation of Offenbach's Les Brigands (Avenue Theatre, September 1889), and as Badcorn in the burlesque Guy Fawkes, Esq. (Gaiety, July 1890 and July 1891).
Wilkinson later created the role of Pat Cafferty in Parke & (Ernest) Bucalossi's En Route at the Parkhurst Theatre and on tour (September-October 1896).
