THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY
Rowland Williams (1906-07, 1908-09)
Rowland Williams' first role at the Savoy was not with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company. Rather, it was as the Fireman in the musical comedy The Love Birds, February-April 1904.
Williams returned to the Savoy as a chorister with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company for the First (December 1906-August 1907) and Second (April 1908-March 1909) London Repertory Seasons. During the former he took the small part of Second Citizen in The Yeomen of the Guard. He also appeared briefly at the end of the Second Season as First Citizen in Yeomen.
