Marjorie Dawes (1907-09)
Marjorie Dawes joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company as a chorister for the latter portion of the First London Repertory Season at the Savoy in April 1907, serving until the end in August of that year.She returned to the D'Oyly Carte chorus and the Savoy for the Second London Repertory Season, April 1908-March 1909.
A protege of W. S. Gilbert (she had been coached by him and had received singing lessons from Nancy McIntosh), Miss Dawes also appeared in the chorus of Gilbert & Edward German's Fallen Fairies (Savoy, December 1909-January 1910).
