Shelagh Duffy joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in June 1950. During the August 1950-August 1951 season she made some appearances as Fiametta in The Gondoliers. The following season she appeared on occasion as Fiametta (September 1951), Zorah in Ruddigore (October 1951), Leila in Iolanthe (January-February 1952), and the Lady Saphir in Patience (February 1952). She left the Company in April 1952.
