Katherine Dyson (1966-68)

Katherine Dyson was a chorister with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company from March 1966, the year in which she appeared in the film version of The Mikado, until July 1968. She was Ada in the November 1967 revival of Princess Ida, and also filled in on occasion as Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance and Casilda in The Gondoliers during her last season with the Company.

She was married to David Statham, a member of the D'Oyly Carte orchestra. Miss Dyson was later an actress with the National Theatre Company, and in 1980 was in the original London production of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at Drury Lane.
