Wynn Dyson (1927-47)

Wynn Dyson, whose full name was Winston Redvers Dyson, joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in September 1927, serving for the next twenty years. From 1936 forward he appeared in several smaller roles:Mr. Bunthorne's Solicitor in Patience (1936-39 and 1943-44); Second Citizen (1939-47) and Leonard Meryll (on occasion, 1942-43) in The Yeomen of the Guard; Francesco (1939-40 and 1941-42), Antonio (1943-47, and occasionally 1942-43), and Luiz (on occasion, 1942-44) in The Gondoliers; Counsel for the Plaintiff in Trial by Jury (1943-44, and occasionally 1941-42); and Pish-Tush in The Mikado (1944-46, and occasionally 1943-44). He left the D'Oyly Carte in July 1947.
