Caroline de Kovrigin (born Caroline Gertrude Wright) succeeded Rhoda Maitland in the leading soprano roles of Yum-Yum in The Mikado and Elsie Maynard in The Yeomen of the Guard with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "E" in August 1889. She played these roles until December 1889 when Miss de Kovrigin was herself succeeded by Rose Hervey.It was her only engagement with the D'Oyly Carte organization. She later found work as a dancer, elocutionist, vocalist, music hall performer, and, finally, as a teacher.
