Anna Hart (1881)

Anna Hart took the part of Edith in a D'Oyly Carte North American tour of The Pirates of Penzance in January and February 1881. It is likely she was a chorister and understudy promoted to replace the departed Mattie Danielle in the role. A "Miss Hart" (probably the same lady) appeared in the chorus with one of two R. D'Oyly Carte and E. E. Rice Opera Companies playing Billee Taylor in America in the spring of 1881.
