Lila Haynes (1890-95)

Lila Haynes toured with the D'Oyly Carte organization as chorister and small part player in the early-mid 1890s. In the autumn of 1890 she toured the British Isles with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "D," chorus. Her first named part was Peep-Bo in The Mikado with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "C," appearing briefly in July 1891. She later played Tiffin in The Nautch Girl with Carte's Company "D" (October-December 1891) and "C" (January-July 1892). Her last role with the D'Oyly Carte was Chloe in Princess Ida with Company "D" (August-December 1895).
