Janet Henderson (1979-81)

After studying at the Guildhall School of Music, soprano Janet Henderson joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in October 1979. In August 1980 she married fellow D'Oyly Carte chorister Robert Crowe, and in September of that year she assumed the part of Kate in The Yeomen of the Guard, vacated by Suzanne O'Keeffe. During the 1980-81 season she also appeared on occasion as Constance Partlett in The Sorcerer and Zorah in Ruddigore.
Since leaving the D'Oyly Carte she has performed principally in her native Scotland.
