Maxwell Hobbs (1951-56)

Maxwell Hobbs was a tenor chorister with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company from September 1951 to April 1956. In January 1953 he assumed the silent role of Mr. Bunthorne's Solicitor in Patience, playing the role until it was dropped from the repertoire in December 1954. He also filled in on occasion for Frederick Sinden as First Yeoman in The Yeomen of the Guard during the 1953-54 and 1954-55 seasons.
