THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY
Lilian Sant (1897-99)
Lilian Sant appeared on tour as a chorister with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "B" in the second half of 1897. She later was one of the "Lady Teachers" in The Vicar of Bray (December 1898-February 1899), and sang Deborah in Haddon Hall and one of the "Maids-of-Honor" in The Lucky Star (July-September 1899), on tour with D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "D". They were her only roles with the D'Oyly Carte organization.
A Miss Sant, likely the same lady, played the Second Singing Fairy in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream at London's Lyceum Theatre in February 1900.
