Bryan Secombe (1977-81)

Bass-baritone Bryan Secombe joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus in May 1977, serving until July 1981. During his last two seasons with the Company (September 1979 to July 1981) he also appeared regularly as the Notary in The Sorcerer and Bob Becket in H.M.S. Pinafore, and filled in from time to time as Go-To in The Mikado (1979-80) and the Sergeant of Police in The Pirates of Penzance (1980-81).
More recently, Secombe has performed at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. A chorister and small part player, he may be heard on the 1992 recording of Tosca (as the gaoler) and the 1995 La Traviata (as a messenger).
