THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY
Isaac South (m.d., 1884)
In his only D'Oyly Carte engagement, Isaac John South was musical director for Mr. D'Oyly Carte's "C" ("Patience" No.1) Company on tour in England and Scotland from March 24 to July 5, 1884. The previous year South had toured Great Britain as conductor with C. Bernard's Billee Taylor Company.
South later served as musical director for Horace Sedger's touring company in Gilbert & Cellier's The Mountebanks (1892).
