Jennie Stone (1881)

Jennie Stone sang the role of the Lady Ella with D'Oyly Carte's American Patience Company at New York's Standard Theatre when the aesthetic opera opened in September 1881. She was succeeded as Ella in October or November by Alma Stuart Stanley. It was Miss Stone's only engagement with the D'Oyly Carte organization and appears to have been her only role on the New York Stage.
