Godwynne Swayne (1906-09)

Mezzo-soprano Godwynne Swayne (or Swaine) was a chorister on tour with the D'Oyly Carte Principal Repertory Opera Company from at least August 1906 to November 1909, except for the months of April to October 1908 when she was at the Savoy for the first part of the Second London Repertory Season. She appeared from time to time in the following small parts:Ada in Princess Ida (on occasion, 1906-07), Gwenny Davis in A Welsh Sunset (briefly in August 1908), Maria in After All (October 1908-June 1909), and Kate in The Pirates of Penzance (once in November 1909).
