[Born Upper Broughton, Nottinghamshire 10 Aug 1876, died Horsmonden, Kent 13 Jan 1971]
In an extensive dramatic acting career on stage and screen that extended from the 1890s to the 1930s, Frank Tennant (born Thomas Henry Merriman) took only occasional turns in musical theatre. One such was as a bass chorister on tour with the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "E" in 1903, when he also appeared as Bob Beckett in H.M.S. Pinafore from March to June of that year.
